INFOCUS REDEFINES BUSINESS PROJECTION
WILSONVILLE, Ore., (June 15, 2009) –InFocus® Corporation, the industry pioneer in digital projection technology, is introducing a series of high-performance DLP® projectors at the InfoComm09 tradeshow, designed and engineered specifically to meet the needs of any business, as well as professional AV installers. The InFocus IN5300 and IN5500 series is comprised of six new feature-rich projectors with the proven picture reliability of DLP® technology from Texas Instruments™ and BrilliantColor™, as well as up to WUXGA native resolution, making them one of the most affordable and reliable investments for businesses today.
“When we started the product development process, we set out to create a line of projectors to address the specific needs of our customers and professional AV installers, so we paid close attention to how businesses use projectors and gathered direct feedback on the features they found most useful,” said Benjamin Joy, InFocus’ Product Line Director. “We learned that these companies all faced similar challenges and InFocus had a perfect opportunity to develop new products that redefine how businesses experience projection technology.”
InFocus designed these projectors with high-performance, interchangeable and adjustable optics, enabling professional AV installers to easily integrate them into any room, regardless of size or dimensions. A dual lamp option provides fail-safe 24/7 operations and a new advanced SplitScreen display option eliminates the need for multiple displays when video conferencing, using white boards or conducting collaborative presentations.
“The features of InFocus IN5300 and IN5500 series projectors are extremely well thought out, providing an incredible level of installation flexibility and customization,” said Rich Pelinka, Director of Systems Integration and Service, Tierney Brothers, Inc. “The result is the ability to seamlessly integrate them into boardrooms, training rooms and auditoriums, including public environments where 24 x 7 operations are a must.”
InFocus took a holistic approach when developing the IN5300 and IN5500 series and understands that the ongoing maintenance costs of a projector are considered when businesses are making purchasing decisions. The integration of long-life lamps, DLP® and a filter-free design make these models virtually maintenance-free and the most cost-effective high-performance projectors available.
InFocus also incorporated several new features to help solve the usability problems that are common in the market. The IN5300 and IN5500 series offer bold, crisp lines with custom case parts in multiple colors - white, black, walnut or ready to paint - and a unique integrated cable management system eliminates the unsightly mess of cables from a meeting room ceiling for an elegant installation.
