InFocus and Partners Drive Visual Display Solutions
Interactivity breakthroughs for projectors and thin displays, and broad 3D support top the list for 2010
PORTLAND, Ore., and Las Vegas, NV (June 9, 2010) — InFocus® Corp., a digital display technology leader and visual collaboration champion, today provided an overview of recent and coming innovations in interactive visual displays at InfoComm 2010. From interactive projectors that eliminate the need for whiteboard hardware, to a range of 3D solutions that drastically cut 3D’s cost-of-entry, InFocus and its partners are helping all types of organizations drive greater engagement and collaboration.
At InfoComm, using an InFocus® DepthQ® HD 3D Projector, InFocus partner Lightspeed Design will demonstrate its new DepthQ® 3D technology that offers a high-brightness, low-ghost 3D viewing experience using comfortable and inexpensive passive 3D eyewear. Chris Ward, president of Lightspeed Design will speak at InfoComm about Single-Lens 3D Projection on June 9, at 12:30pm (Room N231).
Creating the Future of Interactive Displays
The second-generation interactive projector from InFocus will be previewed at InfoComm, offering key improvements and additional functionality to drive greater interactivity and visual collaboration. The first-generation interactive projector, the IN3900 series, received much acclaim as a cost-effective, portable alternative to traditional interactive whiteboards. Using the LiteBoard projector and the wand, any surface can be turned into a collaborative interactive workspace with no need to purchase whiteboard hardware. Presenters, normally anchored to the wall, can interact with the display from anywhere in the room.
Supporting the "Custom" Ecosystem
With more than 20 years of design and engineering experience focused specifically on business and education markets’ display needs, InFocus and its global ecosystem of partners, professional AV installers and resellers serve a wide range of organizations and all types of requirements.
“Aside from the affordability, it is really the features and flexibility of the new InFocus HD projectors that make permanent installations economically viable for our clients,” said Joel Jackson, production director, Spitball Media. “InFocus has also eliminated a lot of the technical headaches, enabling easy integration and setup, minimal maintenance and advanced network control so we can deliver media remotely to multiple installations around the country.”

In addition, new InFocus high-performance HD projectors incorporate decades of usability feedback and advanced features to cost-effectively meet a broad range of needs:
- Interchangeable, adjustable optics offer easy integration into any room, regardless of size or dimensions
- Color enhancements and new DLP® engines offer improved performance for large-scale venues
- Dual lamp options offer worry-free 24/7 operation
- Customizable skins and integrated cable management offer sleek installations
- SplitScreen™ feature eliminates the need for multiple displays when video conferencing or using whiteboards
- Long-life lamps and a filter-free design make InFocus the most cost-effective high-performance projectors available
“We believe that every organization can benefit from better, more interactive visual displays, from the smallest classrooms to the largest geographically disperse workforces,” said Benjamin Joy, product line director for InFocus. “Touchscreens, interactive projectors and broad adoption of 3D will turn conference rooms into collaboration rooms, and transform lectures into engaging, memorable experiences.”
