Q: There is no sound from the computer or video player coming from the projector's speaker.
A: 1)Make sure that you have plugged one end of the InFocus audio cable to the computer's Audio Out connector (usually marked with a picture of headphones), and the other end of the cable to the Audio In port on the projector.2)If there is still no sound, check your computer by plugging a set of stereo headphones into the audio output port of your computer.3)Press the Mute button on the projector keypad or remote control to make sure that the Mute is not active

Q: There is no sound coming from the projector's speaker.

Q: There is no sound from the video player.
A: Make sure the audio cable is connected between the video player and the external audio amplifier.Make sure that the source is not muted.Adjust the audio source volume.If you are playing a video, make sure the playback has not been paused.

Q: How do I use external speakers for better sound quality?
A:

You connect external speakers to the computer, not the projector. The extermal speakers must be powered, or amplified speakers because the computer does not have the power to run non-amplified speakers.

Connect the InFocus audio cable to the audio out port on the computer (usually marked with a picture of headphones). Then connect the other end of the cable to a pair of external amplified speakers. Plug the speakers into a power source, and the system will produce excellent sound capable of filling large rooms.

Q: The projector's speaker is making crackling noises.
A:

If the volume level is turned up too high, it can overpower the the speaker, causing crackling and popping noise, as well as distortion. Try lowering the volume level. If you require greater output, consider external amplified speakers.

Q: How do I connect audio from a VCR/DVD for better sound quality?
A:

Using a separate audio cable (standard A/V cable), connect the red and white audio out on the DVD/VCR to a pair of external amplified speakers. Or, for the best sound, run the speaker through a separate amplifier or receiver.
