FAQ

Q: How do I change the batteries in my remote?
A: The batteries are located in a compartment on the bottom of the remote. To replace them, slide the battery cover off as you would with most remote controls. Replace the batteries with fresh alkaline batteries. You may use rechargeable batteries.

Q: My remote isn't controlling the projector, how can I tell if it's working?
A: If your remote isn't controlling the projector, first make sure that you are pointing it directly at the IR receiver on the projector (usually a square or round little plastic window), and are within 15 to 20 feet. Also, make sure that any flourescent lighting in the room is turned off. Energy saving fluorescent lights emit IR (infrared) light and may interfere with the projector's ability to recieve the IR commands from yoru remote. If this doesn't help, try checking the battery compartment to verify that the batteries are present and properly installed. You may wish to replace the batteries at this point. If the remote still does not work, you should try to verify whether the IR (infrared) LEDs at the end of the remote are sending out a signal. To verify this, you will need a digital camera, since they can sense IR (infrared) light. Even a mobile phone camera will work. Turn on the camera, then press and hold a button on the remote while aiming the front of the remote at the camera lens. If the camera's viewfinder shows pulses of light coming form the remote, it is good. Your projector may be having problems recieving the signal, please contat support for additional help with this.

Q: I want to program a remote, where can I find the IR codes for my projector remote?
A: InFocus projectors use a simple IR code structure. However, the available codes vary from projector to projector. For specific codes and instructions, see the resources tab on the support page for your projector.
