The Illuminated City Symposium Explores Lighting Design and Technology

The Illuminated City: A Light with Context Symposium was held on April 9 at Portland State University and InFocus was there with sponsorship support and several donated projectors. The symposium brought together architects, urban planners, digital artists and technology providers to find new ways to bring artistic expression to public spaces, such as buildings and other facades. Video Art Exhibit “Twelve O’Clock in London” by Nin Brudermann

Austrian-American artist Nin Brudermann uses six InFocus SP8602 projectors to display more than 150 separate video images from around the world in her fascinating video art installation “Twelve O’Clock in London.” The 20-minute video art presentation portrays an unprecedented collaboration of all the world’s governments to synchronously launch meteorological balloons at UTC 00.00h and 12.00h in order to measure the climatic conditions of the Earth’s atmosphere.
