Button Backlighting
All buttons are backlit by orange LED. Backlighting is activated for 8 seconds any time the disk mouse is pressed and released. Pressing any button during the 8 seconds extends the time for another 8 seconds. After 8 seconds, another disk mouse button push reactivates backlighting.
Sleep mode
To limit accidental operation and extend battery life, the remote enters sleep mode if any key is pressed for more than one minute. In addition, the disc mouse will be disabled 20 minutes after the last button press. Normal operation is restored when any button other than the disc mouse or laser pointer button is pressed.
